The AZ Blue Ribbon Pie Round-Up, a part of the Town & Country Community Activity Board*, produces this culinary event. The Board is facilitated by volunteers from Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek, AZ.
Foodies all over the country love culinary competitions, but it’s our climate and old west heritage that will attract fans to sample the distinctive tastes of past and present-day pies. The Round-Up offers attendees an exceptional look at the pies that won the west, one slice at a time.
Let’s face it, everyone loves pie. And it’s true nothing brings in a crowd quite like a food competition. But, we need ways to keep the costs manageable, the activities interesting and the food safe to consume.
The Town & Country Community Activities Board helps to unify Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek, AZ (the Southeast Valley) through community activities. We are facilitated by volunteers and assist our communities by providing entertaining activities and bringing new revenue streams into town.
That’s what the Community Activity Board is all about – sharing ideas so we can host events the public really wants to attend. Once we’ve broken the ice with our first culinary competition it’s very possible we’ll have a new group of volunteers and everyone will have a clearer “vision” of our mission to raise funds to benefits our public schools through Culinary Scholarships & FACS Teacher Grants.
Although our primary goal is to create a yearly public event, we are also a very social group!
